I live in India. At match.com I see many women have mentioned that their partner should belong to the same religion as them. Aren’t these women narrow minded? What happens in other countries? Why do the dating sites even allow this as a criteria?

If you are a deeply religious person and intend to have a serious relationship with some one, you have the right to pick some one with the same faith as yourself….
I know what you are saying and yes, you should be tolerant for other religions – but for some people religion is a way of life rather than a once a week at Church thing.
I don’t consider myself narrow minded, at all. I KNOW what is important to me. My relationship with my God is the most important thing in my whole life! Of course there is a difference……… A person can be religious and not even have a relationship with God. The guy who knows God is the one who interests me.
History would suggest that mankind’s religious interpretations have led to massive amounts of death and misery. I guess the women on the dating sites are simply trying to eliminate one area of conflict.
