I am just wondering what other women think about this online dating profile. I am thinking of contacting this guy but something does not seem right. Am I just being paronoid? BTW…the guy is 34 with no kids and has never been married. Here is his profile:
“Hi there. Well, what should I say? I live in western *******. I am not too far from the ******, but it is nice being “out in the country” somewhat. I am a lawyer and while I work hard and love what I do, I try to achieve balance between my time at the office and everything else. I feel the future looks good and enjoy living life! Cheers.
I enjoy being on the go and I have a lot of hobbies that keep me busy. I love the outdoors (fishing, camping, kayaking, etc…), skiing, reading, lifting weights, historical re-enactment, writing (I publish literary fiction) and traveling. I’d like to visit Russia, Scotland, and Scandinavia in the next few years. So many places to see. Anyone wanna join me?
Let’s see, what else. I hate mornings and love sleeping in on weekends. I don’t mind cloudy or cool weather. I have a large, interesting family (5 older brothers and sisters). Diet Mountain Dew is my favorite pop. I dislike 95% of television, except the News, History channel, and Seinfeld and Cheers reruns. And I am not a huge sports fan, but I will say I like watching football once in a while.
So, what am I looking for? Hard to say. I don’t think dating should be like shopping for a car where you are looking for specific “features” or something. Chemistry can’t be reduced to a list. But, I will say I’d like to find a woman who is energetic and willing to try new things. Someone a little on the adventurous side would be great. Although I have no problems hanging out and laying in bed all day with the right person! A woman who is intellectually curious would be good. I love a good political discussion now and then! Basically, I am looking for a fun girl who wants to share my adventures and grow and learn with me.

He sounds fine to me…..if you are worried about him being 34 with no kids…don’t let that stop you from contacting him…..my husband was 36 when he married me, he had never been married before and was simply holding out for that special lady…….a lot of successful men hold out on marriage until they are older…..

He sounds pretty normal to me! Give it a shot! The only way you can tell if he’s good or bad is by meetinhg him in person anyways..

Well, he really sounds like he’s worth checking into!! He’s obviously intelligent and has plenty of common sense, both VERY important. he has good interests and I like his thoughts on what he’s looking for…. he actually has a lot in common with me, I have to say if I were looking on those sites and looking for someone, that would catch my eye for sure. Give him a shout, see if you hit it off! I didn’t get ANY feeling that something’s not right…. is it because he’s that age and never married, no kids? I would see that as a huge bonus!!! Maybe he’s just finally had his fill of the single life and is ready to settle down and meet the right person to share his life with!! That would be bonus to me, MUCH less likely to have a midlife crisis. Go for it!
