I’m 6’7″ 270lbs, and I’m attracted to petite girls who are a lot shorter than me. I used to think that the reason I had so much trouble was because I was overweight, so I toned my body up and lost over 80lbs, I have a lot better physic now and I’ve built up a lot of confidence since then, but still I get rejected. I believe myself to have a decent face and my personality is of a gentle demeanor. Despite the fact that I’m a little intimidating in my size many women think I’m funny, Charming, and I often get that dreaded line, “I wish I could find a guy like you.” or “Whoever gets you is Damn lucky.” But of course when I think that means they would consider dating me it doesn’t and end up with the “lets just be friends.” or “I don’t think of you that way.” I don’t know what else to do, I could lower my standards, but the heart feels what it feels. I was just wondering if any of you ladies had any advice, If you need to see what I look like before you can say, there’s an old pic on my yahoo profile. It’s a picture of my face so it shouldn’t matter that I’ve toned up since then, but my face has gotten thinner too, and my jaw structure is more defined. Any advice at all would be helpful.

can’t really help you there. I think the women you meet are just not ready for a relationship. You seem like such a nice guy- it would be sort of hard for them to use you for a fling if they’re not serious. or maybe they’re attracted to a certain type of guy. and it depends on where you are meeting these girls too? are they your coworkers? girls at the clubs? i’d say- just keep on trying. You’ll find someone wonderful and anxious to date you soon.
Well, I don’t know you personally so I can’t really say anything, but I suppose that I’ll just say that yes, you should lower your standards and possibly be able to get someone fast.
Either that, or a small woman would surely bounce your way one day.

I think we all have our standards and there’s no reason to lower them. Sometimes it takes time and sometimes it doesn’t. My friends parents met in 6th grade, again in 8th, and got married at 15/18. My cousin’s friend had grandparents who both were never married and married at 43/48 and had kids. I guess if you wait for fate it pays off. I guess my thing is guys who have broad shoulders, a little bit taller than me(even though I like a guy who is 6’4”
), but thin and brown hair as well. For me I am 5’6” and thin too. Black hair and green eyes. I think that you’ll find someone who loves you for you you are and who you love back that is thin and shorter than you or you’ll fall in love with a girl a little bit taller and find so much in common with her that its something very special you share.
